Khalia gears up for Miss Universe Jamaica performance

Singer Khalia is all geared for her scheduled performance at the grand coronation of the Miss Universe Jamaica 2018 pageant.

Khalia is one of the performers confirmed for the event, which takes place on August 24 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

"I'm excited to perform. I'm bringing a lot of passion and energy. It will be a performance that everyone can enjoy," she said.

Khalia is currently promoting her new single, Summer Body. The song, produced by Tony 'CD' Kelly, was performed three weeks ago at the grand coronation show for the Miss Universe Jamaica East pageant.

She said that she is happy the song has been doing well on the airwaves.

"The song was inspired by a common situation of a guy taking advantage of a girl or hurting a girl, and instead of her being angry and wanting revenge, she decides to get on with her life and become the best version of her. Hence, hitting him with the 'summer body'. Many persons love it! They hear it once and then can't stop listening," she said.

Aside from Summer Body, Khalia is also promoting One Dance, which features I-Octane.
