Ricky Teetz gains traction with 'Born Hustler'

Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Rickey Teetz says he has been getting a lot of traction in the streets with the release his new single, 'Born Hustler'.

"The Born Hustler song as been getting a lot of traction in the streets and on all the mixtape CDs. The song has clocked over 200,000 views on YouTube  since its release, so we are thinking about doing a video next month because it is picking up a lot," Rickey Teetz said.

The song, which was produced by Asphalt Entertainment, was released six months ago, but recently become a favourite of mixtape selectors across the island.

In addition to Born Hustler, the artiste is currently gaining a lot of recognition with Dolla, which has racked up more than one million views in total on YouTube.  

At the beginning of 2018, Rickey Teetz had sought to expand his sphere of influence by performing on more shows outside of his native St James and building his '#Hustlawz' brand.

“I have a really great following in MoBay, St James, but now I am getting shows outside of that area. I want to broaden my reach into other areas of Jamaica, especially the eastern and central parishes, so I am going to push the envelope in 2018,” he said.
