King James says ‘time is the master’
United States-based dancehall deejay King James believes he is on the verge of a major breakthrough with his latest single, 'Time is the Master'.
According to him, the single reflects his philosophy on life and his career ambitions.
"Now is the time. I have been trying for years, but time is the master. I am ready now to show the world what I can do and make them a believer 'cause I believe," he said.
He believes that the enhanced production values of the single released two months ago on his Eva Bless Records label, will propel him to success.
"I am getting feedback mainly in New York, but I am starting to see people from all over sending me feedback that I didn't know was paying attention. The disc jocks are saying it is a big improvement for me ... . They are telling me it's my time now," King James said.
Two years ago, he released his first album, Good and Bad, which focused on the party lifestyle and included mainly 'get money' songs.
Now that he has matured, he is planning to do a new seven-track EP, which will be released in November.
"I just wanna take my music and label to the highest point possible, addressing topics such as love, success and black empowerment. The early feedback has been crazy in Jamaica," said King James, who migrated to the US more than two decades ago.
His other songs include It's My Life, From Nothing To Something, and Step Up Inna Life, featuring Chris Dallaz.
