Black & White lights up the east

August 15, 2018

For the past nine years, Ode Shepherd, the owner of the Rock Nightclub in Ramble, St Thomas, has been staging the 'Black & White' party at his establishment.

After a successful staging this year, which was held on Saturday, Shepherd plans to host a back-to-school treat for children in his community. This year's treat is set to be held tomorrow in the community.

"Each year I keep it, I do a back-to-school treat for the community, where I give away books, shoes, pencils, bags ... everything that is needed for back to school," Shepherd said.

First staged in 2010 as a grand opening for the Rock Nightclub, Black & White has grown into one of the most anticipated events on the entertainment calendar in St Thomas.

"It brings life to the community, it bring something different. It is a different atmosphere that I want to bring, so every year it gets bigger and bigger ... It just continues to grow and we are projecting maybe a three-day event next year, as we expand in bringing a new party to the east," Shepherd said.

Saturday's staging of 'Black & White' was well supported. Here are the highlights.
