Ganggoolie credits God for Neymar song success
Dancehall artiste Ganggoolie is crediting the success of his recent hit Neymar Dance to the work of a supernatural power.
"Memba say mi is a yute weh no have nobody a spend pon mi career, cause mi no lucky like dem. Mi just a do things and God a guide it from deh so," he said.
He admitted that when he recorded the lyrics, he had no idea that he would achieve so much success. The song has found its way on to BBC radio's website.
"More time yuh a do some songs and yu just a dweet fi di fun, and when yu check it out, it just bigger than the fun. Suh this is a great thing fi me, and mi very excited about it cause a lot of artiste in Jamaica neva get a song play pon BBC," he said.
Ganggolie said he wants the song's success to be a lesson to persons who belittle lesser known artistes.
"More time some people underrate yuh and yuh just show people say fi appreciate yu. More time some likkle artiste weh dem tek fi granted, people overseas tek dem fi big thing," he said.
And the man who is known for producing songs, which are considered seasonal, said he has several other songs that he hopes will do well.
"Mi have a song name Hype, mi have a lot of songs right now. Mi have one name Goodie, that a di girl dem song," he told THE STAR.
