Corporate Hands: Boss Furniture donates to fire victims

Contributed The Optimists International is recognised worldwide as one of the premier volunteer organisations that value all children and help them to develop their full potential. It is out of this need to serve, that a group of 26 staff members from the Jamaica Customs Agency, decided to form the Sunrise Optimists Club of Newport. Over the past three years the club has undertaken several projects such as the planting of trees, donations of books, stationeries and appliances to basic and primary schools, painting of murals on perimeter wall of the Holy Family Basic, and donations of food, clothing and toiletries to charitable organisations such as the Father Richard Holung Foundation. The most recent project was a Christmas treat and donation to the Mustard Seed Home at Mahoe Drive, Kingston 11.

Guardian Life helps hospital

Victoria Jubilee is one of the beneficiaries of the inaugural Guardian Life hosted "Keep it Alive" 5K Night Run, which was held last June, in New Kingston. The presentation of the patient monitors took place at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital on Thursday, January 27.
