Jamaica's COVID tally now at 469

Jamaica's COVID-19 tally now stands at 469 confirmed cases. This after six new positives were confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Jamaica also recorded another COVID-related death. The deceased is a 72-year-old male patient from the Corporate Area.

Of the six new cases, there are four males and two females, with ages ranging from nine  years to 37 years. All the cases are from St. Mary and are contacts of a confirmed case.

Of all the cases in Jamaica, some 290 (62%) are females and 179 (38%) are males. The ages of all the confirmed cases range from 2 months to 87 years.

There are now 439 patients in isolation and 88 are in quarantine at a Government facility.

Nine persons have died, while five additional patients have recovered and have been released from hospital, bringing the total recovered and released to 38.
