Westmoreland farmer charged with assault, gun possession

Westmoreland farmer 24-year-old Damion White, otherwise called ‘Suicide’, was on Wednesday arrested and charged with assault and illegal possession of firearm.  

The police say White, who is from Prospect district, was arrested and subsequently charged following an interview in the presence of his attorney.   

His court date is to be finalised.  

The police report that the charges stemmed from an incident last Friday in which White allegedly pointed a firearm at a man and threatened to kill him.
