Water restrictions ending for communities supplied by Constant Spring system
The National Water Commission (NWC) says it's lifting water restrictions for customers served by the Constant Spring Water Treatment Plant starting Saturday.
In a media release on Friday, the NWC said the storage level at the Hermitage Dam in St Andrew has improved and now stands at 90.3 per cent or 355.4 million gallons.
It attributed the rise in inflows from an increase in rainfall in recent days, which it said has allowed it to relax the water supply regulations that were implemented on April 22 as a result of drought conditions.
However, the NWC says while the inflows have increased, customers should be conscious of their water usage and conserve where possible.
