Men allegedly found with stolen car each granted $500,000 bail
Dane Allen and Nackay Sterling who are accused of being in possession of a stolen car were each granted $500,000 bail by the St Catherine Parish Court today.
Both men, who are from Linstead in the parish, were ordered to report to the Linstead Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.
Allen and Sterling were also the subjects of a fingerprint order.
Allegations are that on October 20, a woman parked her 2017 Honda Fit motorcar at her home and went to bed. She subsequently woke up to discover the car missing.
A police report was made and an investigation was launched.
Acting on information, the lawmen went to a garage in the Wallen Housing Scheme outside Linstead, where one of the accused was found operating the vehicle.
Police checks revealed that the vehicle, valued at $2.4 million, was bought for $350,000.
Further investigation led to the men's arrest and charge with receiving stolen property.
