Spanish Town, St Catherine:

Team Jamaica Bickle (TJB), the United States-based non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting Jamaican and Caribbean athletes, has donated US$2,500 to G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport to assist in recovery efforts following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa.

The donation is aimed at providing much-needed relief and support to students, staff, and the wider college community affected by the hurricane.

Irwine Clare Snr, OD, founder and CEO of TJB, reaffirmed the organisation's ongoing commitment to Jamaica's sporting fraternity.

"Team Jamaica Bickle joins hands with diaspora and community-based organisations in delivering a rapid response to the recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa. We are deeply encouraged by the voluntary outreach of the G.C. Foster College student body to affected communities," he said.

"In recognition of our long-standing partnership with the college, we felt compelled to collaborate in this vital initiative. The welfare of our athletes remains at the heart of our mission," Clare said.

The college's leadership expressed heartfelt appreciation for the timely contribution.

"We are deeply grateful to Team Jamaica Bickle for their continued partnership and generosity," said Maurice Wilson, principal. "This donation will go a long way in helping us rebuild and restore essential facilities for the students and their immediate family members.

"It is always important for our college community to do well on and off the field. We know the importance of family support."
