Women run from life-size dildos
Women who flocked a yard sale in Havendale on Christmas morning looking for dildos left disappointed as the ones on offer were too big.
Michelle Williams, who hosted the yard sale, told THE STAR that was the only issue persons had with the sex toy.
"People came and looked at them but some said 'that's too large'. It wasn't frowned upon ... it was accepted. The problem is that they were saying they were too large because they are nine inches, you know ... nine inch is rather big," she said.
She says she bought them overseas, and was selling them for approximately J$12,000.
"You can't put a price on pleasure and satisfaction. It has all the veins. This is not the Chinese one ... this is US made. It's very lifelike," she said.
Williams says the sex toys were brand new, as selling used ones would be unhealthy.
"If you look at it, you would see that it wasn't used. It was in the package same way. It was a conversation starter based on the size. I heard there are a lot were a lot of women are making use of it because they've really had it with the men dem. So a lot of them buying it," she said.
She says the next time she has a yard sale, she would definitely consider offering a wider variety of sizes.
"Many people came and look at it, but nobody didn't make any purchase. The size is what they were running from. Men came and look at it. A man was interested in buying one, but I don't know. Next time I'm having a yard sale, I would have to have different sizes. Maybe if I get some smaller ones, people would be more interested," she added.
She noted however, that while the sex toys were a major talking point. She sold many other items including children's clothes.
