Man stabbed trying to break altercation between two women
A Clarendon man is nursing injuries after he was allegedly stabbed while trying to intervene in a dispute between two women in Bucknor district.
The incident reportedly unfolded about 3:00 am on Sunday, March 22, when the man stepped in during an altercation involving Samoya Rose, the one accused of stabbing the victim, and another woman.
Police say the situation quickly escalated, and Rose allegedly used an object to stab the man in the abdomen.
The injured man was later assisted to hospital, where he received treatment.
Following the incident, a report was made to the police, and Rose was subsequently arrested and charged with wounding with intent.
The 33-year-old, of Baileys Avenue in May Pen, is scheduled to appear before the May Pen Parish Court on Thursday, March 26.
