Cops hunt ‘Sir T’ and ‘Nunu puss’ after viral Jarrett Lane shooting
A shocking gun attack that lit up social media has now placed two men firmly on the police radar, as investigators intensify their probe into the brazen shooting on Jarrett Lane in Kingston.
Law enforcement officials have identified 'Sir T', also known as 'Sir', and 'Nunu Puss' as persons of interest and are urging them to report to the nearest police station by 6:00 p.m. today.
The dramatic development follows a targeted police operation carried out on Wednesday morning in the Jarrett Lane community off Mountain View Avenue. The sweep was later extended to sections of Nine Mile in Bull Bay.
During the operation, officers searched 42 houses across 12 premises, including a churchyard located at 72 Lane. Authorities reportedly seized ammunition, firearm-related items, a quantity of ganja, and several lead sheets believed to be linked to lottery scamming. The ammunition was said to have been found hidden in a bag inside a concrete block.
The incident at the centre of the investigation reportedly unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, shortly after a Good Friday event. Preliminary reports suggest that a dispute involving women escalated into gunfire, which was captured on video and widely circulated online days later.
Assistant Commissioner Michael Phipps, who heads Area Four, has strongly condemned the incident, describing the brazen use of illegal firearms as unacceptable and warning that such actions will not be tolerated by the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Police say investigations are ongoing as they continue their search for those involved in the incident.
