Reggae Girlz head coach Hubert Busby Jr said he is looking forward to their upcoming Concacaf W Qualifiers against Antigua and Barbuda and Guyana at the National Stadium as it will be their first game on home soil since 2024.

The Reggae Girlz will face Antigua on April 10, before taking on Guyana on April 18 in back-to-back home games to close out Group B action in the W Qualifiers.

Jamaica currently sit atop the group with a maximum six points from their two games played, and are favourites to advance to the Concacaf W Championship.

In announcing his squad for both games yesterday, Busby said he is excited ahead of the fixture as it presents a long awaited return to home soil.

The Girlz last played in Jamaica in December 2024, where they defeated South Africa 3-2 in an international friendly at the Montego Bay Sports Complex, in Catherine Hall.

Busby also said it will be an exciting outing for fans who have not been able to see the national team play in person.

"Now going back in playing on home soil, I know the players are very excited to play in front of the Jamaican people," Busby said. "Obviously, we're excited to the fact that we can be back on home soil."

He continued, "I know we will have a good crowd on both games. So yeah, just really looking forward to the two matches in the upcoming weeks."

Jamaica are heavy favourites for both games and will be looking to continue their perfect run in the group stage.

The winners of the group will advance to the Concacaf W Championship, which serves as the qualifying tournament for both the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

The Girlz are hunting their third consecutive appearance at the World Cup, and hoping to make their debut at the Olympics.

Busby will be relying on the players' versatility to prove the difference and it is his task to get the best from his players.

"It's about making sure that we put the players in their best positions to get the best out of them and is obviously something that we're cautious of, or conscious of rather," he insisted.

"It shows to the flexibility and the tactical flexibility of having players like that, who can do multiple things at different times.
