Minister Marion Hall baptises five persons after concert
The 2026 Love and Harmony Cruise took 'Harmonisers' on a spiritual journey on Easter Sunday as Minister Marion Hall delivered a Resurrection sermon that transformed the deck into a sanctuary.
"I want to see people come to Christ... baptise them in His name," she said. These were powerful words that came alive during her sermon that focused on 'The grave is empty cause he is here'. After the sermon and her riveting concert performance, several individuals committed to be baptised by Minister Hall and gave their lives to the Lord.
"Had the pleasure of baptising five people after the concert," Hall told THE STAR. "One was filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues before she even went under the water. It was amazing to witness."
First-time Harmoniser from New York, Marie Spence, described the moment as deeply moving and unexpected.
"I was floored when Minister Marion Hall invited persons to be baptised. If I had not seen it with my own two eyes, I would not believe. I have been a Lady Saw (Hall's former moniker) fan from the days when she performed as Muma Saw. She was the baddest female DJ ever. Today her Christian message is resonating. To see her make the transition to a full minister winning souls for Christ is truly special," she said.
Speaking about attending the Love & Harmony cruise, Hall told THE STAR that "God gave me a ministry to feed and win souls for Christ".
" I fed them the word, and souls were won for the kingdom of Heaven. All glory be to God," she said.
A few hours after the sermon, the atmosphere shifted to celebration as gospel music took centre stage inside the Stardust Theatre. Veteran gospel powerhouse Dr Carlene Davis-Cowan, with her husband, birthday boy Tommy Cowan by her side, got the praise and worship concert started with a commanding performance that included songs such as It Must Be Love, Holy Is Your Name and Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus. These songs blended gospel rhythms with timeless spiritual messages. When she segued into Rivers Of Babylon, the cup did runneth over. Davis-Cowan also scored with One Day At a Time, Lord I Lift Your Name On High, Stand Up fo r Jesus and a 'gospel-rised' version of her secular hit Stealing Love that was updated to give praises to the Lord. She closed with a powerful rendition of Old Friends, which lifted spirits and preparing the crowd for what would come next.
Hall took the stage promptly at 9.30 p.m. Her performance was not just music, it was ministry. Each note, each declaration, felt like an extension of her sermon. For those in the packed Stardust Theater that came to hear her perform songs like Sycamore Tree and Man A The Least that once commanded dancehall floors globally, that never happened. Hall instead, commanded hearts with Man Of Galilee, Freedom and Jesus Wash Away Sins. Concertgoers responded with raised hands, tears, shouts of 'Hallelujah', and even testimonies. Other songs that connected include Room in My House, I Won't Worry, Sorry to Hurt Your Feelings, that had a familiar dancehall mix, Had Jesus and Mi Soon Alright that delivered a hopeful spiritual message.
Among those deeply moved by Hall's ministry was returning Love & Harmony passenger Dagery Grant, who described the concert experience as transformative.
"The idea to incorporate a gospel show on the Love & Harmony Cruise 2026 was truly exceptional," she said. "It added a powerful and uplifting dimension to an already vibrant experience. The show was a standout highlight that left a lasting impression on those in attendance."
